Water sports at Silversand
Silversand is a paradise for surfers and other water sports enthusiasts. You can come and do water sports with a day pass if you are not staying in our area. Our partners organize courses for water sports enthusiasts of all levels and rent equipment. You can rent a SUP board or kayak from us.
Windsurfing courses
Twind Surf Shop organizes beginner and advanced courses at Camping Silversand depending on wind conditions. Also ask for sparring with your own freeride, slalom, Windsurfer LT or Raceboard equipment.
Beginner windsurfing course (2 hours)
In the beginner course you will learn the basics, after which you will be ready for independent practice.
The course includes:
Handling equipment on the beach
Safety information, wind conditions and forecasts, safety equipment, consideration for swimmers and other water athletes.
Hoisting the sail and setting off
Steering the board, counter-turning and forward-turning
Independent practice
Includes equipment, life jackets and wetsuit
80 eur/person, max 3 people in groups
Advanced windsurfing course (1+1 hours)
The advanced course is tailored to the student's own wishes and skills. The course includes one hour of instruction and one hour of independent practice.
For example, the course may include:
Reviewing and refining the skills of the beginner course
Trimming the sail and board according to skill level
Beach and water departure
Speed to turn
Using the trapeze
Preparations for planing boarding
